What does RHL do?
Realise Health Ltd (RHL), the North East Essex LIFT Company, was
established in 2004 under the Government’s LIFT (Local Improvement Finance
Trust) programme, which has
created a series of long-term Strategic Partnering Agreements (SPAs)
across the country between Primary Care Trusts, local authorities and the
private sector to provide modern, purpose-built facilities.
RHL is a 25 year local public/private partnership between Mill Asset
Management (MAM), the NE Essex PCT (formally Colchester and Tendring PCTs)
and Community Health Partnerships created specifically to develop and
manage serviced health and social care facilities for the local
communities within the Borough of Colchester and District of Tendring.
RHL is also able to provide facilities management services (such as
building and grounds maintenance and repair services) to other buildings
within the contracting authorities' estate. Also under the SPA, RHL offer
broader partnering services including property management, procurement
consultancy, and architectural, engineering, construction, technical and
building services.
The PCT employs a dedicated LIFT team to work with RHL, their key role
being to work with local project groups to develop the next tranche of
healthcare facilities in NE Essex. Each group has a local patient
representative, members of the practice and local Councillors, all working
alongside the RHL architects and design team. |
