West Mersea GP Practice
The West Mersea practice, the only one on the island, was formed in 1978; it is a 4 GP practice which provides services to a 7,000 catchment population across the whole of Mersea Island. Once a suitable site has been approved, a new Health Centre will be built by RHL to cater for the demands and needs of the Mersea Islanders.
The proposed new centre will include spacious modern consulting and treatment rooms for the 4 GPs and the practice nurses, along with a separate wing for community services including physiotherapy and podiatry clinics.
